The AVCC Report

On December 17, 2018, the Access to Veterinary Care Coalition, or AVCC, released the report Access to Veterinary Care: Barriers, Current Practices, and Public Policy via open access. This was a two-year project, funded through the generosity of Maddie’s Fund, and consisted of a diverse group of for-profit and nonprofit veterinary services providers, animal welfare and social service professionals, as well as educators.

The report is intended to serve as
a guide for 1) veterinarians, 2) animal welfare organizations, 3) legislators,
4) community leaders, and 5) other stakeholders as they seek to improve access
to veterinary care.
