Work Groups

Social Service/Veterinary Social Work: How to engage and facilitate the family support activities of social service agencies and professionals.

Participants will discuss how to build collaborations between social service agencies and professionals and veterinary service providers. Areas of discussion will include the enrollment process, family and veterinary care team support, and identification of key information that should be captured into the AlignCareTM Electronic Health Record.

Incremental Veterinary Care: Defining incremental care as a tiered therapeutic approach to case management by veterinary professionals.

Participants will characterize key therapeutic decision points, client education topics and methods for reaching diverse families, and ways to leverage the desire of veterinarians to help underserved families. Areas of discussion will include incentives for veterinary practices to serve AlignCareTM families, telemedicine and identifying key information that should be captured into the AlignCareTM Electronic Health Record.

Mobilizing Communities: Developing AlignCareTM to support struggling families needing assistance with veterinary care. 

Participants will discuss how to best market AlignCareTM as a national system and educate communities about the importance of supporting underserved families. Topics for discussion will include addressing the biases and barriers to helping underserved families, mobilizing community support and ensuring a balanced distribution of funding among diverse communities.
